When Games Make a Difference – Another Cool App

It has been documented that the Apple App Store has recently passed over 25 billion downloads.  That is no small feat when there are only about 7 billion occupants on the planet, and there may be a few that are not wired yet!  Apple has stormed the education systems with iPads and MacBooks for both teachers and students, and there are many apps for education.  Education apps make learning more fun and best of all they are self paced learning tools.  Don’t get it correct the first time, go back and do it again.  Learning on your terms.

An app that is designed as a game might be both a teaching tool and screening tool for screen printing companies.  This app is Colorshift from AddSubtract in Nashville, TN.  The game is wordless and asks you to place tiles of color in sequence.  As the game continues the variance of shade decreases making the game increasing difficult. It is both time and accuracy checked.  For screen printing companies color vision acuity is important and this game app might become a tool for determining whether  your job applicant is better suited for printing, color matching or the screen room.  It could possible be used for training.  Either way it is a cool app and apps like this are going to become common for training in all industries in the near future.  Colorshift is available from The Apple App Store or through the iTunes store.
